We are very pleased to announce that the first issue of History of Humanities has been published with University of Chicago Press. It is a wonderfully rich volume with a Forum discussion on the object of the humanities, contributions on Chinese historiography, different from the West in that it blends several scholarly disciplines, 19th century scholarly interest in mythologies, an intriguing essay on the concepts of nature and culture in the history of biology, a section with book reviews, and much more! As it is the first issue, the editors have included an introduction to this new field. To celebrate and distribute the contents of the issue widely, the first issue has been made fully open access by Chicago until the end of May.
